Tenants in Chicago deserve healthy and safe housing. Chicago currently does not have a proactive inspection program for common health violations in rental units, like lead, mold, and more. The Chicago Healthy Homes Ordinance would require proactive inspections to keep current and prospective tenants safe and healthy.
